Client: Local Indian restaurant (London)
Challenge: Despite excellent food and service, the restaurant had very few Google reviews. Most diners left without leaving feedback, and the owner relied on chance or staff asking awkwardly at the exit.
The Problem

- Only 400+ reviews on Google despite having a full house of customer
- Low visibility in Google Local Search
- No systematic process for capturing positive feedback
The restaurant needed a way to convert satisfied diners into online reviews without creating awkward interactions.
Our Approach
Step 1: Identify Happy Diners (Insider Approach)
As a former waiter, I understood the key moments when diners were genuinely satisfied. We trained staff to recognize positive signals:
- Compliments on food or service
- Repeat orders or extra dishes
- Smiles, laughter, and engaged conversation
Only diners showing these signals were prompted for a review.
Step 2: Make Reviewing Easy (SEO + Systems)
We train staff to present this QR card at the perfect moment—after a compliment or positive feedback—ensuring diners leave reviews effortlessly

- Generated a direct Google review link
- Converted it into a QR code for easy scanning
- Laminated and placed at strategic points (bill folders, table cards)
Step 3: Consistent System
- Staff knew exactly when to ask
- Diners were guided seamlessly
- The process became repeatable for every shift
Results

- 2500+ new 5-star reviews within 2 years
- Google Business Profile visibility improved, leading to more walk-in diners
- Positive reviews increased confidence for first-time visitors
Owner feedback:
“We finally have a system that turns happy diners into online reviews without staff awkwardness. It’s effortless and effective.”
